Why the first report mattered to investigators

Vehicle interference claims were already a recognised subcategory within UFO literature by the early 1970s. The files do not verify:
- that an extraterrestrial craft was present,
- that the car genuinely lost power through external influence,
- that telepathic communication occurred,

The missing context problem
